They include FF101 Introductions to Fly Fishing, basic entomology, fly selection, leader and tippets, fly lines, and much more. We hope you'll take advantage of these classes.

The streamer bite is picking up with the cold temps. Attractors continue to work in the late afternoons as water temps try to rise. Tiny BWO's starting now too. Look for them along the banks where they emerge. Some large fish will hang on the banks sipping them on gray days.
Salmon are the top story as they trickle into the Lower Boardman River in downtown Traverse City. The Upper Manistee continues to fish well with attractors and terrestrials. Salmon are now entering the Lower Boardman River and the Betsie Rivers.

With all the famous fishable characteristics of glass, they are perform beautifully and have tapers that make them easy to load, accurate, and truly "fishable". They feature an unsanded glass Orvis "retro" appearance that will remind you of the classic Orvis rod collection but with the technology that only Jim Logan at the Orvis Rod Shop can offer. We're looking forward to having them as soon as they are available in January. They'll retail for $395 and is sure to be an immediate hit.
